Eggs

Leaving Home, I was so young and full of hope
I wish I had known what was in store
Now Im gone I was not warned
That i would never come back, never come back from war

As quickly as it took for me to sign my name well I was sent away
and the world is not what they told me it would be so many empty days
Wandering

On the shore sent to march, I knew not where
Overhead bombs flying thru the air
One would fall we’d all move on
Told myself to never look back, never look back

As quickly as it took for me to sign my name well I was sent away
and the world is not what they told me it would be so many empty days
Wandering

All is done
Back home with my kin
Innocence lost to time
In war no one ever wins
